Disaster Relief Initiatives

We regard standing in solidarity during all types of disasters affecting our country and responding swiftly to the needs of our citizens as a shared responsibility. In challenging times such as earthquakes, floods, and forest fires, we provide support by supplying personal cleaning, personal care, and hygiene products.

During the earthquake disaster that occurred in February 2023,

We delivered tens of thousands of water containers with taps and hygiene kits to tent settlements.

We delivered 80,000 personal hygiene products, 100,000 diapers, and heavy machinery to those affected by the disaster through organizations such as AFAD, Kızılay, LÖSEV, and local authorities.

Our volunteer colleagues who traveled to the region helped organize the distribution of daily necessities such as water, food, clothing, and blankets.

We prepared and delivered 30,000 “Goodwill Packages” containing personal care and hygiene products, in response to a request from the Kızılay.

Approximately TL 3.7 million in total was allocated to support those affected by the earthquake, including TL 1 million for food assistance, TL 1 million for clothing, TL 700,000 in products, TL 500,000 for shelter, and TL 500,000 in cash donations. Two soup kitchens were established in İskenderun and Hatay to honor the memory of the colleagues we lost in the earthquake. In addition, a total of TL 5 million was donated to nationwide fundraising campaigns broadcast on television.

We ensured support for container housing projects led by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK).

Two dedicated projects were brought to life through our Duru and Arko Men brands:

In Samandağ, we established safe and healthy spaces by installing shower and toilet units at five different locations, taking into account the critical importance of hygiene in earthquake-affected areas.

We visited tent settlements to provide personal care support to local communities, while also offering a source of morale and hope during a challenging time through the Mobile Barber Project.
